The minimum Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) score required to join the United States Air Force is 31.
Please note that this is the general minimum score for enlistment of an Airman.
The actual entry requirements can vary depending on the current needs of the Air Force, the number of applicants, and other factors.
In rare circumstances, you may be admitted to the Air Force with a lower ASVAB score if you qualify for a waiver or if the Air Force introduces different criteria for certain positions or during specific recruitment periods.
Different jobs in the Air Force, also called Air Force Specialty Codes or AFSCs, have their own ASVAB score minimums on specific subtests.
The Air Force uses these scores to determine applicants’ qualifications for specific career fields.
While the overall minimum ASVAB score for consideration is 31, securing a particular job within the Air Force will depend on the scores of the relevant ASVAB subtests.
