You.
24Th Special Tactics Squadron.
What’s up, everyone? General discharge here. Today’s video is going to be discussing the United States Air Force’s 24th Special Tactics Squadron.
This one’s going to be short and.
Sweet as this unit keeps a lot of things under wraps. Just keep in mind the goal of this video is to give you a broad strokes breakdown the unit. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the video.
You.
Before we jump into it, make sure to take a moment and show us some love and support by liking our video and subscribing to our channel. Your support is our lifeblood. Do not hesitate to ask us questions in the comments section below. We check everything the 24th Special Tactics Squadron is one of the special tactics units in AFSOC, which stands for Air Force Special Operations Command. It is one of the five tier one special missions units in JSOC, meaning that only the best of the best get into this unit.
Its headquarters is at Pope Field, North Carolina.
Oftentimes, due to their specific skill sets.
24Th STS members are enablers to the other tier one units such as Delta Force and Devgroup. Because the other tier one units typically.
Do not have their own medics and JTax.
So you’re probably asking yourself, what do they do?
Well, essentially, they’re a tier one unit that augments other tier one units. You will understand just how they accomplish this. Next, where we go over the unit’s makeup and breakdown.
So what makes up the 24th STS? Let’s give you the breakdown. In the 24th sts, there are pararescuemen, otherwise known as pjs, combat controllers, otherwise known as ccts, special reconnaissance, who were formerly known as special operations Weathermen and Tactical Air Control party airmen, or TAC P’s for short. Special tactics officers, combat rescue officers, and TAC P officers are also on this.
Which are the officers of the AFSOC community.
If you want to know what all these operators do, stick around until the end of the video where we will point you in the right direction. All 24th STS members are trained in counterterrorism, direct action, hostage rescue, counterinsurgency, special reconnaissance, and much more. You got to think, not only do they know how to do their own organic job, they also receive training to be up to speed with whatever unit they wind up embedding with. Hey there.

For example, a CCT in the 24th sts can find themselves working with Delta Force on one deployment in their career and another one with dev group. This means that they are a jack of all trades, having to adapt and learn what each unit does in their own unique way. And that pretty much covers it for the 24th Special Tactics Squadron. There’s not a lot known about these.
Guys, and that’s probably not going to change anytime soon. Like we said earlier in the video.
If you want to know more about.
The airmen that make up this unit.
We did videos on literally every single one of them.
See all of those thumbnails?
Yeah. You need to go watch them. As soon as this video is over.
We’Ll leave the links and a playlist.
In the description for you. Oh, and don’t leave just yet. We also did videos on the rest of the tier one special missions units within JSOC. We covered Delta Force, DevGrue, the regimental reconnaissance company, and the army’s intelligence support activity.
Those links are also in the description.
As you can probably tell, there’s a lot about this unit that will remain in secrecy for quite possibly ever. But we hope you got something out of this. If you learned something from this video, make sure to give us a like and subscribe to our channel.
